SOL began with one young activist looking to change her community. When Olivia Kim, a rising high schooler, founded SOL in March 2025, she was looking to involve the next generation in projects of service, outreach, and leadership. She wanted to inspire new change makers to take initiative and combat current problems in the local community. After gathering a team of dedicated volunteers, SOL’s story began.
Our Mission
Sol is the Spanish word for light, and here at SOL, we aim to bring light to areas of darkness. Based in the East Coast, we focus on Service, Outreach, and Leadership using the hands of youth. We are passionate about next generation involvement and seek to encourage and motivate more young change-makers.
