Start a SOL Chapter
Our chapter program allows passionate youth to shine their light through volunteering in their local communities.
A SOL Initiative Chapter is a local branch of our nonprofit that is dedicated to Service, Outreach, and Leadership through the power of youth. Inspired by the Spanish word for light, sol, chapters aim to bring light to areas of darkness within their local communities.
Chapters range from 5-50+ members and can be formed as school clubs, regional initiatives, or community groups.
How to Start a SOL Chapter:
1.Prepare Your Chapter
If you plan to lead your chapter through your school, communicate with your school administration and obtain preliminary approval before submitting your application.
2.Submit Your Application
Complete the chapter application form and receive an update within 1-2 weeks after submission.
3.Interview with a Director
If your application is approved, you’ll receive an email from us regarding an interview. Be prepared to discuss your chapter’s plans, long-term mission, and your passion for volunteering!
