Our Growth

We are proud with SOL’s current growth this Fall through our new events, projects, and collaborations. Check out our current journey below!

Our Alfalfa Event: November 2025

This November we partnered with Alfalfa to set up a Dear-Elder writing letter event. We had many college students and local residents write heartfelt letters to elders in need to extra love and joy!

Karma for Cara Grant Foundation Award: November 2025

This November SOL was chosen to receive a grant from the Karma for Cara Foundation for our Youth Activism Kits. We are excited with the prospect of advancing this wonderful project forward!

Junbi Window Display

This February we partnered with Junbi in Downtown Princeton to set up a window display during the month of Valentines. This installation encouraged locals to write letters for an elder inside the shop, where our Dear Elder Mailbox was housed.

Dear Elder Stands and Raffles

Throughout March we partnered with Junbi to organize dear elder writing stands, inviting community members to write a kind note for an elder. We also organized raffles where locals were encouraged to make a SOL donation and get entered in a chance to win Junbi merchandise!

Sodexo Stop Hunger Youth Grant Received

In April we received a grant from the Sodexo Stop Hunger Youth Grant Program, allowing us to organize our Stronger Together Initiative, where 200 care packages were created by youth. For more information on this project, view our leadership page.
